It happens to the best and most vigilant of us – we either forget to apply the sunscreen, because after all we are only going to be outside for a moment. Or we forget to reapply sunscreen after a few house. However it happens a sunburn is painful!

I speak from experience as my skin is such that as a child I had to burn once before I could then tan – I’ve learned a lot of lessons since those days and no long have to have the traditional burn. Another lesson I’ve learned is how to treat sunburn at home and using natural products – in fact number 7 will probably shock you and is the treatment I swear by – having used it multiple times with great relief.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Baking Soda

Baking soda when applied to bath water will soothe the skin and decrease the itching you get while the skin heals.

Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt is an inflammatory – soothes the skin and quickens the healing process.

Cucumber

When blended and applied to skin will soothe the skin and decrease itching while your skin heals.

Oatmeal

Blend and add to bath water will reduced the itching associated with sunburn.

Aloe Vera Plant

Break a leaf and apply the liquid to your skin for sunburn relief.

Raw Egg Whites

Separate the egg white from the yolk and rub the egg white on sunburned skin for quick relief from the heat of the burn.
