5 Hacks to Change your Outside World
I know I’ve mentioned before how much I love the phrase “If you want to change your outside world you must change your inside world.” This is taking total and complete responsibility for your own life – which can be a little hard, but there is an upside, it’s under your control. You are the only person that can do this – you have all the power.
I don’t know about you but I’m kinda a control freak! Since I’ve learned how use this control “talent” on myself instead of others it’s been life changing. There are 5 tools I use on almost a daily basis.
Definiteness of Purpose
Become clear on what you want helps you become clear on what you want to change in your outside world. When you are crystal clear on your definiteness of purpose and where you are going it becomes easy to see what isn’t aligning up with that in your current situation.
You may feel uneasy with relationships, jobs, physical health, spiritual fulfillment, financial, and lack of things in your current life but not really understand why. Become clear and it will all make sense.
Use images to change your outside world. Once you have clarity in purpose it’s time to move forward. The first way is to use images by creating a vision board so that your brain starts to register the changes you wish to make.
Your outside world may be a certain way right now, lacking in many areas. Take the step to place image on your vision board that depicts how you want your life to be. Stand in front of that vision board at least twice daily for 3 minutes and imagine yourself in possession of everything on it.
Use words and language to change your outside world. Once you have clarity of purpose and the images to back it up it’s time to start changing the way you speak to yourself. It’s time to challenge yourself in moving forward by changing how you think about yourself and your situation and about the words you use to describe yourself in you day to day conversations. Declarations are about how you change what you are saying and thinking about yourself.
“Change your thoughts and you change your world” – Norman Vincent Peale
You use emotion to change your outside world. Once you have purpose, images around that purpose and language to support that purpose it’s time to use positive emotions to move all those things to change.
“I don’t want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them.”
Choose the emotions you wish to feel to move you towards your goals.
Write your Story
Write your story story to change your outside world. Now take all of the above, your purpose, the images, languages and emotion and write your story. Write out every aspect of how you want to live your life. How & with whom you want to connect, who you are and the direction you are taking in life.
What kind of experiences do you want from your life, who do you want to know, what do you do, where do you want to go and with whom. Describe every aspect of your life in as much detail as possible.
This story will never be done because as you find yourself in new and unfamiliar places you will have to adjust parts of your story. If you find yourself in a situation that isn’t one you enjoy – go in and write a new chapter of your story and include what is happening, describe how you face the challenges, what you learn and how you move on.
Just remember that becoming clear on how do you want your outside world to look is very important – because more then anything it is a reflection of your inside world
